“I wanted Unifrog as soon as I saw it; I immediately knew it would help our kids. Students in grade 10 have a work experience week, and the CV Builder tool has helped the counsellor find the right area to place students in, and helped make the students become viable candidates for possible employers. Those who later apply for a summer job find that they already have a great CV in place. Most students find the CV tool incredibly easy and pleasant to use. It also helps teachers to find content for our letters of recommendation by giving us the right information.
The Personal Statement tool has made a historically stressful process a lot more manageable for students. Students who feel overwhelmed by the process of starting an essay find it much easier to tackle this task when using Unifrog’s ‘three section approach’. It’s always fun to hear them say, “Wow, now I have a personal statement” after clicking the ‘Preview’ button. The Personal Statement tool really helps students reflect on their achievements. I particularly like the fact that the tool takes into account each student’s academic background, then sorts every relevant university course into one of aspirational, solid, and safe choice.
