Unifrog's integration with the Common App and Parchment: What is it?

Unifrog's integration with the Common App and Parchment is currently helping over 150 schools around the world. Between September and November 2022, over 2,000 students connected their Common App account with Unifrog, and over 5,000 counselor documents were safely submitted. 

But what is Unifrog's integration with the Common App and Parchment, and how could it help your school?

Unifrog's integration with the Common App

The Common App (CA) allows students to efficiently make applications to more than 1,000 universities and colleges - mostly in the US but also in Canada and elsewhere.

Unifrog’s integration with CA is a setting that can be applied to school/college accounts that means that students can connect their CA and Unifrog accounts, and after that: 

• Counselors can seamlessly submit documents to CA without ever having to leave the Unifrog platform.
• The things students do on their CA account (for example, adding an application) appears automatically in their Unifrog account.
• Counselors have oversight over all teacher recommendation letters and can review them before they’re submitted. This oversight isn’t available if the student doesn’t use the Unifrog/Common App integration.
• Counselors have a live feed of which Common App institutions students are applying to (including which application window they’re opting for)

Unifrog's integration with Parchment

Unifrog's integration with Parchment allows you to submit documents (like transcripts and official exam certificates) through Unifrog to non Common App institutions in North America without ever leaving the platform; you can see the full list of institutions that use Parchment here.

If an item sent via Parchment is marked as 'Delivered' on Unifrog, then the university has received it. And — to help university staff locate items that you’ve sent them — you can give them the items’ Submission ID from Unifrog.

How much does it cost?

If you're already a Unifrog partner, the Common App and Parchment integrations are free of charge and you'll just need to talk to your Account Manager to get this set up. 

Parchment usually charges for every document sent directly through them, but for Unifrog schools this service is free!
